The Jisr al-Zarqa Heritage Center continues to develop and implement cultural, community, and development programs in Jisr al-Zarqa, in partnership with local and national organizations, driven by a belief in the importance of investing in people and strengthening their voices and their role in creating change.
As part of this ongoing effort, the PhotoVoice – “My Voice, Jisr al-Zarqa” program is launching, creating a safe and creative space for women in Jisr al-Zarqa to express themselves and share the stories and issues that matter to them through photography and words.
📷 The program is not only about learning photography; it transforms photography into a tool for expression, documentation, and amplifying the community’s voice, culminating in an exhibition showcasing the participants’ work locally.
The program is part of the Joint Initiative for Strengthening Social Engagement in Jisr al-Zarqa, in cooperation with Photo Israel and the Jisr al-Amal Youth Center, with the support and partnership of the organizations and institutions participating in the initiative.
At the Jisr al-Zarqa Heritage Center, we believe that development begins when we give people the space to tell their stories in their own voices, from their own perspectives, and through the images they choose themselves.
📍 Start date: September 14, 2026 | Time: 16:45
