Israeli Nature and Parks Authority bulldozers and machinery, under the protection of Israeli police forces, demolished several huts in the fishermen’s village on the shore of Jisr az-Zarqa.
The issue of the fishermen’s village in Jisr az-Zarqa gained widespread public attention, media coverage, and official political interest following the professional campaign launched by the Fishermen’s Committee to protect their rights.
Popular Committee Chairman Sami Al-Ali explained that all repairs and renovations were carried out due to natural factors. He emphasized that the committee’s demands are to preserve the fishermen’s village, protect the historic status of fishermen, and guarantee their rights to continue fishing.
