Haifa District Director Visits Al-Wafaa School for Special Education

At the beginning of the current school year, Dr. Saar Harel, Director of the Haifa District, visited Al-Wafaa School for Special Education on Sunday morning, September 4, 2022, as part of a special inspection tour aimed at following up with schools across the Haifa District.

Mr. Saar was accompanied by Murad Ammash, Head of the Jisr al-Zarqa Local Council, along with a number of inspectors and staff members from the Education Department. The visit aimed to gain a closer understanding of the school’s educational and pedagogical work.

Most of the visit was dedicated to the Jisr al-Zarqa Museum. The guests were welcomed before touring the museum and viewing the educational initiative “The Road to the Sea” and the photography project undertaken by the school teams to establish the museum and present the village’s past and present.

The school staff also presented the historical background and the story behind the village’s existence.

The visit concluded with the District Director praising this important project, emphasizing its role in deepening students’ and village residents’ sense of belonging to their community. He also expressed his full support for the success of this cultural and educational initiative.
