The “Children of the Sea” program organized, over the weekend, a special educational and interactive tour to the aquarium of fish and marine life in Jerusalem. A group of children participated in a rich experience that combined fun, exploration, and environmental learning.

During the tour, the children explored the world of fish and marine creatures, learning about different aquatic environments and ecosystems in the country and the characteristics of each. These included the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Dead Sea, and the Sea of Galilee. They moved between various exhibits and took part in interactive educational activities that enhanced their knowledge and scientific curiosity.

The visit also included a special stop at the butterfly garden, where the children learned about the life cycle of this small and beautiful creature and its ecological role, in an atmosphere full of wonder and joy.

The program organizers praised the children’s engagement and enthusiasm, while also expressing appreciation for the parents’ support and their commitment to involving their children in such meaningful educational activities. They also commended the teachers and accompanying staff for their teamwork, dedication, and sense of responsibility.

This tour comes as part of a partnership between EcoOcean Association, the local councils of Jisr az-Zarqa and Fureidis, and the Jisr az-Zarqa Heritage Center, aiming to promote environmental awareness and connect children with the sea and water as part of identity, knowledge, and community responsibility.
