As part of a professional field enrichment day for the management and staff of the “Amal” cleaning cooperative in Jisr az-Zarqa, the Jisr az-Zarqa Museum hosted the cooperative team in a distinctive educational and awareness-raising visit.
During the visit, the Director of the Jisr az-Zarqa Heritage Center, researcher Sami Al-Ali, presented a comprehensive historical overview of the village of Jisr az-Zarqa. His presentation addressed the village’s development, key features of its social and cultural identity, and current conditions across various sectors. He also highlighted the main crises and challenges facing the community, alongside its underlying resources and development opportunities in the fields of society, urban space, and local development.
The discussion further addressed relevant governmental plans, particularly the structural master plan and the West Jisr az-Zarqa plan, emphasizing their potential impact on the future of the village, the rights of its residents, and available development areas.
This visit comes as part of efforts to enhance professional and community awareness among work teams, linking daily administrative practice to its historical and spatial context, thereby strengthening belonging, shared understanding, and responsible action in service of Jisr az-Zarqa and its residents.
