The council hall in Jisr az-Zarqa hosted the screening of the film “Fear God”, an initiative by the “Influential Women” group in cooperation with the Joint Social Initiative, the Jisr Al-Amal Youth Center, the Local Council, and the Jisr az-Zarqa Heritage Center.

The screening saw wide attendance from women, youth, and active members of the local community, in a rich cultural atmosphere marked by dialogue and engagement.

The event opened with welcoming remarks by Sahira Jarbaan, coordinator of the “Influential Women” group, who spoke about the group’s mission to empower women in Jisr az-Zarqa, strengthen their public participation, and enhance their active role in society. Sami Al-Ali, a member of the Joint Social Initiative team, also addressed the audience, speaking about the initiative’s goals of building a sustainable and long-term impactful social movement, emphasizing the role of the initiative and the Heritage Center in supporting local culture and arts. He also thanked the partners in the cultural activity, particularly Ms. Hidaya Jarbaan, director of the Youth Center, and the youth who contributed significantly to the success of the event.

Following the screening, an open discussion was held with the film’s director and producer, Wajdi Odeh, who spoke about the importance of family education, parental follow-up, and youth behavior and social relations, stressing that family awareness is the foundation for preventing violence and deviant behavior.

The evening concluded with a dialogue workshop led by group facilitator Duaa Rashwan, focusing on female leadership and psychological resilience in confronting violence and crime, with active participation from attendees.

At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to director Wajdi Odeh, the “Influential Women” group, and volunteer Awad Hani Ammash, in recognition of their efforts and contributions to the success of this distinguished cultural and social event.
